Log Information & Anonymous Browsing
We offer various services that do not require you to register an account or to disclose any personal information and you are free to browse these sections of the Site anonymously. However, any information you submit whilst using the site (for example, while performing a Club Directory Search) may be stored for analysis, for reporting or to increase the Site’s performance. We also gather statistics on traffic (both to and from the Site), page views, IP addresses, browser information and other standard web log information.
Information Provided by You
You have the option of declining to provide any personal information to any of our services, in which case we may not be able to provide you with access to those services.
We may present hyperlinks within the Site in a format that enables us to track whether these links have been followed. This information is used to improve the quality of our services and for compiling statistical reports on behalf of third party advertisers.

How Information is Used
We use the information collected to allow us to operate the Site and the offered services as effectively as possible. Some information is used for statistical analysis so we can tailor the Site to better meet the demands of its users
Some information, such as your username, handicap, hometown and other player statistics are freely available to other registered users of the Site.
Sharing Your Information
We will only share information you provide to us with parties outside of My Online Golf Club in the following circumstances:
1 - Where we have your consent which has been provided via an opt-in agreement.
2 – Where we need to provide your information to trusted third parties for the purposes of performing specific operations pertaining to the running of your account (for example, when making card payments your card and address details are sent to our card processor and when sending text messages your mobile telephone number is sent to the SMS gateway).
3 – Where we are required to by law in response to an enforceable request for information relating to a criminal investigation, alleged illegal activity or any other activity which may expose My Online Golf Club or any other user of the Site to legal liability.
My Online Golf Club is partly funded through advertising. In order for our advertisers to track the referrer of a visitor to their site certain information (for example, your IP address, which page the advert was on, etc) is passed to the advertiser when you click on an advertisement. No personal information provided by you is ever transmitted. This is a standard web based advertising industry practice. The advertisers may store this information to identify repeat visitors and reduce fraud/bogus referrals.
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information from unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. These security measures are reviewed frequently to ensure they meet the latest standards and applicable laws. Our servers are located behind secure firewalls and whenever more sensitive information is stored, high level encryption is implemented for additional protection. These security measures also incorporate restrictions of physical access to our servers.
Access to the information collected is restricted to employees of My Online Golf Club, contractors and other agents, who need access to this information to develop, improve or otherwise operate services provided through the Site. These individuals are bound by confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements and are subject to disciplinary procedures and/or criminal prosecution should they fail to meet the obligations of the agreement.
While we will take every reasonable effort to keep your information protected, you should be aware that no security system is totally impenetrable. Should any of your personal information need to remain absolutely confidential you are advised not to disclose it on our Site.
Retention of Data
Any information which is updatable is generally overwritten with the new information as soon as it is submitted to the Site, however in certain circumstances we may be legally obliged to retain a history of this information. Any information of this nature is only kept the minimum time stipulated by law.
